Biography

I am an artist, researcher, and art educator based in Montreal, Quebec, working primarily in drawing and painting. My practice explores abstract and abstract expressionist styles through colour fields, hard-edge and monochromatic blocking, and mixed-media collage with natural materials and found objects. I primarily paint on wood panels, using colour to create harmony, movement, and emotional depth. My work engages viewers in experiences of memory, intuition, and identity.

As an educator, I work with learners of all ages, from young children to adults, prioritizing the process of making art over the final outcome. My teaching emphasizes choice, intuition, and collaboration, creating spaces that are responsive, inspiring, and empowering.

I hold a Master of Arts (MA) in Art Education and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Community Art Education – Visual Arts from Concordia University. My research investigates how art educators facilitate artmaking in community programs for adults living with dementia, bridging art education, gerontology, and arts-based pedagogies. Across my work as an artist, teacher, and researcher, I focus on collaboration, co-creation, and accessible approaches that connect creativity, learning, and community engagement.
